About us
Who are we?
The concept of creating an organization to promote East Asian cultures in Macedonia began in 2017 among a group of close friends. They later joined forces with like-minded enthusiasts, leading to the launch of the first Japanese Culture Festival, “Nihon-ji.”
Following the festival’s second edition, the original group decided to pursue their broader vision of including more East Asian cultures. This led to the formation of PAGODA in late 2023.
Today, PAGODA is an organization dedicated to promoting and celebrating the rich cultures of East Asian countries in Macedonia. We provide an open platform for anyone who shares our deep respect and admiration for these cultures and our vision of cultural exchange, friendship, education, and entertainment.
What are our goals?
PAGODA aims to build cultural bridges and forge lasting connections that transcend geographical boundaries between Macedonia and East Asian countries. We achieve this through:
- Creating diverse engaging and educational content on social media, covering topics such as art, literature, tradition, pop culture, technology, ecology, and sports.
- Organizing activities that cater to different age groups, ensuring inclusivity for all.
- Hosting exciting events that bring the unique cultures of East Asia closer to local audiences, fostering mutual understanding and appreciation.
